although autumn has arrived here, we have some summerish days again, as we often have in october...
so i'm sitting here in t-shirt and enjoy the relaxing air from the open window...
well, i'm not the only one - there are hundreds of lady bugs swirring through the air, looking for a safe place for winter...
i remember, that in the house, where i spent my childhood days, we had these simple old windows, and the ladybugs used to crawl in those small gaps at the edges of them and stay there until winter was over...
when we opened those windows in springtime to let the fresh air and the sunshine in, douzens of ladybugs would come to life again and start out into the spring air - i loved to watch that...
i am so happy - "anjouanna" has donated me a premium membership for three months - so for the first time i can really show a picture instead of merely a link - i hope it works, haha...
so here you can see the very windows i'm talking about, on this painting my mother made of our sweet old house...

this very ocean (written at the end of may)
yesterday, late in the evening, after i had played some songs on my keyboard, i sat there in my music room and listened. the window was wide open and it was very quiet outside. there was no car on the street, and all i heard was the soft and fleshy flapping of the lilac leaves in the warm breeze that came around the corner of the house. i smoked a cigarette and watched the smoke curl out of the window into the soft dark air. from across the street i could hear a cow moaning in the farmer`s barn. sometimes when i hear the cows in the dark i feel reminded of the times when we lived out there in the s

right after christmas i had the opportunity to take part in a very nice event - the sofa-connection...
the yardy crew invited to two evenings with reggae/calypso/mento classics performed more or less unplugged in a fine atmosphere with sofas all around "the stage"...
it was a full success, both evenings were sold out and the people who came felt comfy and enjoyed the music - i myself did the same and felt nicely launched into the new year...
i didn't find the time to edit more of the photos, but there will be more to come...
