yeppings, thank you... i still have some more, there was a couple with white sprinkles on their hats which looked just like the real fairy tale shrooms - well, one day i'll find the time... :D

so true, long time ago i once found some really metallic(!) looking fungi on a tree... i only saw them once, but they were fascinating... :D
i think i have a photo print somewhere of them...

i remember in 5th class we had a very nice teacher who would often go out with us spotting plants and birds and listen to birds' voices a.s.o. and once he asked us to bring all mushrooms and fungi we could find, a friend of him wanted to write a book about them - in the end, if i remember corrctly, we found more than 80 species and there were two that had never been described before... :D

Haah!! Nice work!! :D Yeah there must me thousands of species out there and maybe even thousands more unidentified, I like the fact they are classed not as an animal or a plant but as their own unique species. The biggest living organism on the planet is a fungi,Its massive. Most of it is underground and covers a whole forest. It must be hundreds of years old. Things like that fascinate me!! :D
